The Original Underground Steel Cap –  A Subculture Archetype ⁠

The shoe and boots in the Original Steel Cap collection are subculture icons.

The collection of Allgender Underground originals from the 1980’s are archetypal working shoes and boot that have been re-appropriated as a uniform for counterculture. The characteristic three row puritan stitching, army boot last, steel cap, 100% leather uppers and a cleated rubber sole create a product that is made to last.

Create your own unique Underground Original Steel Cap design……

You can create your own version of our Original Steel Cap styles by selecting the sole height and the leather or fabric and colour from the material library for each component part.

You can try out as many combinations of different materials as you like until you finally create your perfect personalized custom Steel Cap footwear. Then choose if you want an internal or External Steel Cap, choose your lace colour. Finally, choose the sole height and select your size from UK2 to UK15.

Each pair is individually hand-made to order and the usual production time is approximately 8–10 weeks.

Payment options…..

For your Custom-Made product, there are two payment options using your usual Credit/Debit Card:

a. Pay in full at tine of ordering
b. Pay in Instalments* – 50% at time of ordering and the balance of 50% after 56 days and prior to dispatch.

*This payment option is not a Finance / Credit Agreement and does not incur any additional fees.

Please note the following – each pair is individually hand-made to order and the usual production time is 8–10 weeks. Once your shoes have been completed and the balance payment has been received your order will be dispatched and we will email a Tracking number.

The final cost is calculated according to your personal choice of sole depth, materials and colour(s) and will be displayed, together with the Shipping cost at the Checkout. These costs include VAT (if applicable) to the shipping destination.

All our footwear is manufactured and sold in UK Sizes. For guidance we have prepared a chart and  additional information according to each collection. See all size charts here

After you make payment, your personalised Custom Made footwear order will be checked by our Production Team and confirmed, it will be sent to the factory for production. Due to the individual, personalised design, production and delivery times will vary, typically 8-10 weeks.

This is a Custom-Made Product and following our confirmation of your order we are unable to accept cancellation or refund of payment.

However following delivery of your order should you find the fitting is unsuitable we will exchange your custom made product for an alternative size, without further cost.
