The Folklore Creeper The Original Wulfrun Creeper is an Allgender shoe constructed on a walled round-toe last, the upper design distinguished by the D-ring lace feature with keepers to hold the D rings, and a bound edge apron. 

These shoes are batch made, each pair is produced in our custom made facility, maintaining individuality and supporting sustainable manufacturing. The production time is between 8-10 weeks

The Chalk Horse Creeper – The Folklore Creeper Underground x Ben Edge

“In this design I was inspired by the chalk horses that can be found gleaming on the chalky hill sides of Britain, with the highest concentration being around the folkloric standing stone filled landscape of Wiltshire. The oldest of them all the, Uffington  White horse, is situated in nearby Oxfordshire, that has been scoured and maintained by countless generations since the Bronze Age and believed to originally represent a Celtic sun horse who was said to draw the sun across the sky.

Many of the White horses in the Wiltshire area have been scoured out in more recent centuries, with some said to mark the victories of famous battles and in some instances believed to have been replacing much earlier hill figures.

Whatever the origins, these Chalk Horses have become an iconic symbol of the British countryside, that continue to evolve in meaning and belief with new ones being discovered and popping up across the landscape of Britain to this day”.

This version of the Wulfrun Creeper features White Horse designs recreated by Ben Edge, that are laser cut into the long hair leather to recreate the horses that are cut into the hillside. Each pair is hand finished.
