The Folklore Activist Creeper – The Original Wulfrun Creeper is an Allgender shoe constructed on a walled round-toe last, the upper design distinguished by the D-ring lace feature with keepers to hold the D rings and a bound edge apron.

“We are living in times of climate change and a severing of our connection to nature, at times it can appear that we have gone too far, but bubbling beneath the surface lies our rich and thriving folk culture, where through these ancient symbols, stories and traditions that can still be found across Britain, we can find ways to reclaim and welcome back in our connection to nature and each other.

Whether its Morris dancing on village greens, or visiting standing stones or ancient churches where symbols such as sheela na gigs can be found evoking feelings of the old gods where paganism and Christianity appear blurred, we have not gone too far after all, our connection to the land is in our hands, and if we are to look after it, we have to get to know it and to fall in love with it. It’s all there for us if we actively go out and seek it. This was the inspiration for the collection of symbols that you will find upon the Folklore Activist Creeper”

This version of the Wulfrun Creeper features folklore symbols created by Ben Edge, that are laser cut into the leather on the apron and on the back quarter. Each pair is hand finished.

These Collaboration shoes are produced as a Custom-Made product and are batch made in our custom-made facility, maintaining individuality and supporting sustainable manufacturing. The production time is between 8-10 weeks.

We can exchange the shoe for a different size if required, but as they are custom-made we are unable accept order cancellation or offer a refund on this product.
