Underground’s rub-off leather is created through a distinctive finishing process we’ve refined over four decades. The leather begins with a bold colored base such as the Union Jack print, or vibrant shades of orange and yellow. A deep black top coat is applied by the tannery over the foundation colour. The leather is then cut for the boot and, at the finishing stage, the black layer is carefully and partially removed, allowing the underlying colour to emerge. The result is a striking contrast effect that has become a true Underground signature.
